The Little Life Tour

Some of life's most beautiful moments are the ones we almost miss. The first sip of coffee in the morning. Watching the rain from a warm room. A conversation that goes nowhere in particular. The art of doing nothing. For Berlin-based composer and pianist Robert Gromotka, the Little Life European Tour 2027 is all about slowing down, forgetting about our to-do lists and enjoying the simple pleasure of being here, right now.

Joined by a cellist, Gromotka brings together new compositions and music from earlier years. Moving between solo piano pieces and the rich interplay of piano and cello, the music shifts from quiet, intimate moments to warm, expressive conversations between the two instruments. There is room for things to unfold, for thoughts to wander, and for the occasional silence to say just as much as the music.

Gromotka describes his compositions as “written improvisations” - music that follows its own curiosity rather than a fixed destination. His pieces Dreamland and Little Life have reached millions of listeners, finding their way into the lives of people around the world. Little Life is a concert about the little things. About slowing down, listening closely, and remembering that not every moment needs to be filled.

Sometimes, it's enough just to be there.
About Robert Gromotka

Robert Gromotka is a Berlin-based composer, pianist and multi-instrumentalist, celebrated for his evocative, cinematic compositions that weave together elements of classical music, traditional folk songs, contemporary minimalism and improvisation. His distinctive musical language combines expressive melodies, delicate textures and a profound emotional depth.

Originally trained as a flautist, his remarkable musical journey has taken him from classical studies in Dortmund to Granada and onto international stages, performing with a wide range of popular music bands and classical orchestras around the world.

Beyond his solo career, Gromotka has established himself as a versatile composer for film and television, contributing to productions for WDR and RBB. String instruments play an essential role in his musical world, adding warmth, depth and an orchestral dimension to his compositions. His collaborations with internationally acclaimed musicians, including Claudio Constantini, Alexander Motovilov and Emilio Piano, reflect his artistic curiosity and ability to move effortlessly between musical worlds.

Today, the piano is at the heart of his artistic vision. Drawing inspiration from Arvo Pärt, Chopin and Satie, Gromotka creates deeply moving soundscapes that are both intimate and orchestral in scope. His music celebrates the beauty of simplicity, transforming the smallest musical gestures into moments of extraordinary emotional resonance.
